As the expression goes, “No news is good news.” Although all news outlets are filling the day with verbiage, most of the information is “old,” not “new.” Should I call it the “Olds” rather than the “News?”
For instance, the Steele Dossier (or Trump Dossier) has been around since 2016, almost everything in it is allegedly false (about 90% false, not disputed by republicans or democrats). The new attorney General, William Barr, is investigating why it was used as “evidence” by the FISA court to spy on a member of the Trump campaign. Barr is also investigating why Robert Mueller was appointed to investigate Trump’s alleged (not proven) Russia “collusion” when he (Mueller) is partisan and appointed only democrats to help the investigation, and there was an effort by various intelligence agencies to set Trump up for false charges of collusion with Russia. Oh, and “collusion” is not a crime, also not disputed by GOP or Progressives (Democrats, Communists). Everything in this paragraph is not news, but it is still reported on daily as “news.” Also, Trump is trying to build a wall on the southern border, not news, and unknown if it will actually stop migration.
What IS news is the Tweet by President Trump regarding the “squad,” the four lady representatives, AOC, two Muslims, and one other. Trump expressed some opinions in the Tweet, suggesting that if they weren’t happy here in America, they could leave. The last time I checked, free speech was guaranteed in our Bill of Rights, yet seems to be under attack by Progressives (Democrats), Facebook, Google, Twitter, and Antifa. Trump exercised his free speech, and the Congress responded with their free speech, including many false statements by the four ladies. I don’t believe that false statements are not also allowed, but if they damage someone, they may be prosecuted as slander or libel (note, I am not a lawyer).
